Kamrielle and her Cheer Performance

Kamrielle went to a cheer clinic for 4 days and then they had

a performance at the Alumni Football Game on Friday night

before the 4th. She really enjoyed it! She had been doing the

cheers ever since. Her Aunt Marcy did most of the getting

her ready but I let her get a little more make-up on.

Here she is before we left.

She was doing a jump or something. I think I missed it.

Warming up with the "cougar rumble" over on the side.

Heres a shot of her during the half time performance.

A visit to Gpa & Gma Whipples Camp

Kamrielle got to go camp with Gpa & Gma for a few days
and then we went up and got her on Sat. afternoon and
had fun with them playing cards, lasso golf, having a
yummy dinner and enjoying the campfire.
My two babies!

Caden's turn

My mom and dad said she rode her bike all the time.
She did while we were there too. It really wore her out.

Donna and my mom.

This is Z and Donna below. They are in my parents ward and
have been enjoying the cool weather up here camping with
my parents too! They both have nice trailers.
(which is my kind of camping!)

They brought the lasso golf game and they
also taught us a fun card game called golf!

Then it was time to enjoy the campfire.

Saying the good-byes! Kamrielle sure enjoyed her time
camping with my parents and we enjoyed out short time too!

Primary Water Activity Day

We had a fun Primary Activity Day full of fun!
We had Water slides, pools, pony rides, & otter pops!
Heres Kamrielle going down head first on a slide.
This was the first time. She looked a little worried but
as you can see from the pic above she got braver.
Kamrielle and Willie (her uncle) taking a pony ride together.

We celebrated 75 years of Linden Ward! We had a balloon
launch at the end with a special message inside.
It was a super fun one!

Kamrielle finished swimming lessons

Kamrielle took a session of swimming lessons at the local pool
and she sure enjoyed it! She loves to be in the water!
Of course she had to have these goggles most of the time!
Her Gma & Gpa Whipple came to watch her on her last day
and then they headed out for some camping.

My funny boy

I did not even know these ice-cream cone pictures existed
until I loaded the others onto my computer.
What a cute surprise. I'm just glad I did not come home
to this mess. Vinnie had him all cleaned up and
even the carseat before I got home.
I'm glad he enjoyed it so much!
Well I hope he atleast got some of it into his mouth??

He really likes to climb EVERYTHING these days.
So this was new and he sure enjoyed climbing on it too!
Its quite wobbly so I moved it over to the door on a rug
so it would be harder for him. I was thinking without the
table he probably would'nt climb it.
As you can see below he still did!

I just hope we can stay away from the ER for awhile now
but... not to sure with this kid?? He's adventerous!

A tried and true favorite

I won't say I'm the best cook but I do like to try new recipes,
especially healthier ones and I do like to cook more from
scratch than buy already made stuff.
I have made this several times now and the whole
family likes them plus there pretty good for you too!
This week the yellow peppers are on sale at Safeway for .99
so when they go on sale that's usually when I make them.
Its called Black Bean Quesadillas
from Light and Tasty Magazine.
These are great for those who like Mexican flavors
but can't handle too much heat! (Of course you can
make them hotter if that's what you like)
1 medium sweet yellow pepper, chopped
1 cup finely chopped onion
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp. canola oil (I use Olive Oil most times)
2 medium Tomatoes, chopped
1 cup frozen corn, thawed (I have used canned before~just fine)
1 can (15 oz.) black beans, rinsed & drained
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. salt (sometime I add a few more seasonings~whatever you like)
10 flour tortillas (6 in)
1 cup shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese (again whatever you prefer)
In a large nonstick skillet coated with cooking spray, saute the yellow pepper, onion, and garlic in oil for 2 min. Stir in the tomatoes and corn; cook 2 minutes longer. Add the black beans, pepper and salt. Cook until vegetables are tender; drain. (I've never had to drain anything.)
Spritz one side of each tortilla with nonstick cooking spray; place plain side up on baking sheets coated with cooking spray. Spoon bean mixture onto half of each tortilla; sprinkle with cheese. fold tortilla over filling.
Bake at 400 for 6 minutes. Carefully turn over; bake 4-7 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
Here's the bean mixture once it is all together.
With the cheese on it ready to be folded.

and ready to go in the oven.
Of course I don't have a picture of when they came out!
Are you kidding me? My family eats them up too quickly!

You can call or ask for the nutrition facts if you want them.

Memorial Weekend Camping

We had a great time camping up near GreensPeak.
It is always so nice to get away from daily life and just
sit and relax and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you!
Another thing I love about camping is all the great food!
These pictures are in no great order and kind of messed up
but you know this blogging thing is a little time consuming
sometimes and I do not have the extra time to get it right.
Just getting it done! As I never did get our Spring Break
trip done. Oh-well. It is fun to look back and the kids sure
enjoy it the most. Making memories! That's what matters!!
Gpa and Carder

Playing Horseshoes

Sisters enjoying eachother

This was a great tree. It had a door and a window in it.
Here's Kamrielle going in & the window shots are below.

Gma and Caden going for a ride.

Caden was great about giving rides and collecting
all the wood Vinnie would cut with his chainsaw.
It made the work easy and fun for Caden.

Mom and Caden riding.

Vinnie enjoying the fire. Theres nothing better than
just sitting and watching the fire. Except that
you smell like smoke!

Kamrielle loved to pick all the flowers! She had a beautiful
centerpiece for our table everyday.

Richard is always the entertainment no matter where we are.

Trevon and Carder in the tree window

Camdon and Kamrielle in the tree window

Carder loved getting to be outdoors all day!

These guys had fun playing cards!
The Turleys did not camp with us but were able to come
spend the day with us on Sunday.
This was the first time we camped on Memorial weekend.
We usually do Labor day weekend. It sure was pretty and green!

Blog-worthy happenings

I'm excited to report that Carder got his cast off yesterday and seems to be adjusting well.
He now favors his left hand from not being able to use his right hand. So we will see if time changes that. He got to take a regular bath and loved that. No more bathroom sink.

He also took his first steps on Monday night. We were all so excited for him! I thought it would take getting his cast off to walk but he didn't so it will be fun to see and watch him excel in his new venture of walking. He is such a busy boy! Busier than any of my other kids. But he keeps life fun and exciting and we love him and hope we can stay out of the ER for awhile now! We are going to have to so we can pay this last visit off. (yikes)

Happy Mothers Day to our Mothers!

Vinnie and I both have great Mothers! Today is there day.
To my mom,
She is always happy,
always willing to serve,
always has a place for you to stay,
always making something yummy for you,
always supporting her family,
absolutely loves her grandchildren &
will watch them for you whenever needed.
Alwyas singing with her beautiful voice,
always looks beautiful & that's because
she has always liked to shop.
(thanks for passing that shopping trait down)
I hope I get a few more of your talents!
Love you, Happy Mothers Day!
Pandy is a wonderful example of a Mother as well.
She is willing to serve and serve again!
She is ecspecially talented in her culinary delights!
I have asked for many of her recipes and knowledge
of canning and food storage. She is always willing
to help me with canning as I am still learning.
She loves the gospel and has a strong testimony.
She is a hard worker and works from sun up till sun down.
Thankyou for your example and loving our children.
We got a See's Chocolate bar and a bookmark at church today.
This is a quote off the bookmark that I like:
"Motherhood is near to divinity. It is the highest, holiest
service to be assumed by mankind."
I love being a mother! I could'nt ask for anything better than that!
