Catching up below...blog overload!

This is blog overload!!! Sorry. I was sooo behind and sorta got caught up. It goes clear down to Kamrielles Swimming lessons. Next I will catch up on Kamrielles Birthday. Coming later. Her party is tomorrow.

Celebrating with Family

On Sunday after the 4th we went out to my Aunt Patsy's
house in Vernon (my dads sister) and had a nice meal
with family. My parents came from where they were camping
and then we got to visit with My Aunt Pat and some of her kids.
Here is my mom, sister Marcy, Aunt Pat, me and Jana (cousin).
Since Marcy was not going to be here for Kamrielles birthday
on the 10th she got to open her present from her.
She got all sorts of goodies. She especially loved the petshop one.

Fun filled 4th!

Of course the 4th started off with the parade at 9 am!
It's always fun to go to the parade (tradition)
Vin and the two little kids.
Our fam minus Caden

Carder is signaling that he wants to pet the horses.
This is what he does at Gma Wyatts' house. He loves to
pet the horses over there. Sorry Carder not here.

Camdon, Caden, Carder & Trevon waiting for the parade.

The "Big Boys" Jaron, Caden, & Trevon.

We had the pleasure of having the Turley Family with us for
the 4th this year. (My sisters fam) they are goofy!
Just look at those faces! they all have beautiful smiles
just look at the parents.

After the parade it was on to some wrestling.
Vinnie made a ring with the hose and off they went.

Carder had a front row seat for this next one!

Vinnie trying to show Jaron that he's still got it!

We went to a BBQ in town at a friends and then the boys
all headed to the arm wrestling tournament and us girls
and Carder went to a boutique in Taylor.

After that we all made it home again and the boys played
"butt ball" or "wall ball" they were wound up!
I think it was all the testosterone from the arm wrestling!

I just got Carder out of the bath and Vinnie attacked me with
lipstick on???? He found it in his 69 camero he bought from a girl
several years back. Like I said they were wound up!
It's a good thing I know he is a manly man. or
I might be worried!

Then it was off to the fireworks!

Heres some of us
and heres Vinnie still wound up....
He's doing the John Travolta walk from
Saturday Night Fever (I think thats what its called)
He had on Jarons ipod and was listening to it.

Group shot

Somebody did'nt last very long. He was all tuckered out.
Thanks to Aunt Marcy he was all comfy.

It was a fun filled 4th and a great time with family!

Kamrielle and her Cheer Performance

Kamrielle went to a cheer clinic for 4 days and then they had

a performance at the Alumni Football Game on Friday night

before the 4th. She really enjoyed it! She had been doing the

cheers ever since. Her Aunt Marcy did most of the getting

her ready but I let her get a little more make-up on.

Here she is before we left.

She was doing a jump or something. I think I missed it.

Warming up with the "cougar rumble" over on the side.

Heres a shot of her during the half time performance.

front row 2nd from left.

A visit to Gpa & Gma Whipples Camp

Kamrielle got to go camp with Gpa & Gma for a few days
and then we went up and got her on Sat. afternoon and
had fun with them playing cards, lasso golf, having a
yummy dinner and enjoying the campfire.
My two babies!
Vinnie at his turn

Caden's turn

My mom and dad said she rode her bike all the time.
She did while we were there too. It really wore her out.

Dad getting things going for dinner

Donna and my mom.

This is Z and Donna below. They are in my parents ward and
have been enjoying the cool weather up here camping with
my parents too! They both have nice trailers.
(which is my kind of camping!)

They brought the lasso golf game and they
also taught us a fun card game called golf!

Then it was time to enjoy the campfire.

Saying the good-byes! Kamrielle sure enjoyed her time
camping with my parents and we enjoyed out short time too!

Primary Water Activity Day

We had a fun Primary Activity Day full of fun!
We had Water slides, pools, pony rides, & otter pops!
Heres Kamrielle going down head first on a slide.
This was the first time. She looked a little worried but
as you can see from the pic above she got braver.
Kamrielle and Willie (her uncle) taking a pony ride together.

We celebrated 75 years of Linden Ward! We had a balloon
launch at the end with a special message inside.
It was a super fun one!

Kamrielle finished swimming lessons

Kamrielle took a session of swimming lessons at the local pool
and she sure enjoyed it! She loves to be in the water!
Of course she had to have these goggles most of the time!
Her Gma & Gpa Whipple came to watch her on her last day
and then they headed out for some camping.

My funny boy

I did not even know these ice-cream cone pictures existed
until I loaded the others onto my computer.
What a cute surprise. I'm just glad I did not come home
to this mess. Vinnie had him all cleaned up and
even the carseat before I got home.
I'm glad he enjoyed it so much!
Well I hope he atleast got some of it into his mouth??

He really likes to climb EVERYTHING these days.
So this was new and he sure enjoyed climbing on it too!
Its quite wobbly so I moved it over to the door on a rug
so it would be harder for him. I was thinking without the
table he probably would'nt climb it.
As you can see below he still did!

I just hope we can stay away from the ER for awhile now
but... not to sure with this kid?? He's adventerous!

A tried and true favorite

I won't say I'm the best cook but I do like to try new recipes,
especially healthier ones and I do like to cook more from
scratch than buy already made stuff.
I have made this several times now and the whole
family likes them plus there pretty good for you too!
This week the yellow peppers are on sale at Safeway for .99
so when they go on sale that's usually when I make them.
Its called Black Bean Quesadillas
from Light and Tasty Magazine.
These are great for those who like Mexican flavors
but can't handle too much heat! (Of course you can
make them hotter if that's what you like)
1 medium sweet yellow pepper, chopped
1 cup finely chopped onion
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp. canola oil (I use Olive Oil most times)
2 medium Tomatoes, chopped
1 cup frozen corn, thawed (I have used canned before~just fine)
1 can (15 oz.) black beans, rinsed & drained
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. salt (sometime I add a few more seasonings~whatever you like)
10 flour tortillas (6 in)
1 cup shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese (again whatever you prefer)
In a large nonstick skillet coated with cooking spray, saute the yellow pepper, onion, and garlic in oil for 2 min. Stir in the tomatoes and corn; cook 2 minutes longer. Add the black beans, pepper and salt. Cook until vegetables are tender; drain. (I've never had to drain anything.)
Spritz one side of each tortilla with nonstick cooking spray; place plain side up on baking sheets coated with cooking spray. Spoon bean mixture onto half of each tortilla; sprinkle with cheese. fold tortilla over filling.
Bake at 400 for 6 minutes. Carefully turn over; bake 4-7 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
Here's the bean mixture once it is all together.
With the cheese on it ready to be folded.

and ready to go in the oven.
Of course I don't have a picture of when they came out!
Are you kidding me? My family eats them up too quickly!

You can call or ask for the nutrition facts if you want them.
