Family Reunion~Mexico~October 2008

We had an awesome vacation in Mexico. It was so much
fun! My kids still talk about it. I think we decided we
want to go back every other year now and camp on the
off year like we have been. This is the whole gang that
went below (Vinnie is taking the picture) when we got
back from Church.
My sweet little family!
This is how the family started so that we
could have a reunion...With a Dad and Mom

Here is the front of our villa we stayed in. It was nice.

Marcy and I getting ready to take Carder for a walk

Kamrielle joining the rest of the kids with the "markering"

of the face. See Marcy's blog for a cute video and pics.

Big Brother with little brother.
We loved the sunsets.

This is as beachy as he got. Did not like the water. I guess

he takes after his mom on that one and would rather

just soak up some sun! Of course I kept him in the shade!

Camdon and Kamrielle heading to the beach.

My nerdy face!Playing in the waves!
All the boys playing in the water.

Caden caught a crab.
Trevon holding Carder "the beach bum"
Grandma and Kamrielle
Gang on the beach as the sun was going down.

This was the back patio of the villa. We had a beautiful
view of the beach and perfect weather to go with it!
Kamrielle posing.

We did lots of game playing. Here are Caden and Trevon
playing a game of Chess. We also played lots of Password.
My Moms favorite. We did not get a picture of that.
Vinnie and my Dad playing Speed. I was bragging that no
one could beat me yet. And no one did!
I was thrilled to get to play a game of Beach Volleyball!
Vinnie and Carder in the background watching.
I was sooo glad Savanah came with us! She was so fun
for Kamrielle! They were inseperable. She is such a
sweet girl and a good example for my Kamrielle.

This was just off the patio. Kids playing together.
Looking for seashells
rough housing eachother.
We had access to a pool as well and it made it fun too!

The sunsets were georgeous there! We could not get
enough pictures at sunset time. But you had to be quick.
Mom and Dad
Marcy, Mom & Me
My sweet husband still makes my feet kick up.
Kamrielle played from sun-up till sun-down.
The nice part of this vacation was all the R & R. Sometimes
you just have to get away to get some! Vinnie and Carder.

Me sleeping
Carder sleeping again. Thanks Grandpa.

We did lots of eating too!
The Chicken Hut. We all liked that place.
The girls loved butter tortillas. We went through lots
of butter and lots of homemade tortillas!

and everyone could not get enough popscicles either!
Vinnie loved the mangos they cut up on the beach and
sprinkle with chille powder.
We did some shopping one day and went to the fish market.
All in all it was a great time and enjoyable! I'm looking
forward to going back!

Peaches

We got back from the Ranch Sun. night, Oct. 5th and I had
Mon and Tues to get my peaches put away plus all the
laundry from the ranch and then pack to leave for Mexico
on Wed. through Mon. (Post on that is yet to come.)
I went over to my mother in laws on Mon. and Tues. and
we canned peaches and made Jam. Then on Tues night
I finished up the last of them and made Peach syrup.
Now I've got to get to my apples this week!

Family fun at the Ranch

We finally made it down to Haystack Ranch. Better
known as the Smarts ranch. They have been trying to
get us down there for awhile and well being the chicken
and more of a city girl that I am it took a little while
for me to go. But I enjoyed it and had a nice relaxing
and fun time. I definatley could not be a "cowboy's wife"
nor do I ever want to be but for a weekend here
and there it will be ok. Now the rest of the family enjoyed
themselves very much too! The kids had fun riding around
in the ranger and just getting dirty! Something Kamrielle
has no problem doing (she's not my daughter). Carder
was sooo good and he just enjoyed being outside. Caden
well he ate well. He has two hollow legs and I think he
finally got them full! He is a growing boy.
Now this is more up my ally...relaxing and getting
a pedicure. Misty was so nice to give us all one while
we listened to conference.

Vinnie has been to the ranch several times to help round

up cattle (I think that's what you call it??) Anyways this

is something he enjoys doing and he would love to just

live the rest of his life out on a ranch...hmmm. Maybe I

should not mention it. He had a great time and I do think

he is a dang good lookin cowboy! Even if he does not own

a pair of wranglers those old navy jeans still look cute!

Augustus "Gus" named from Lonesome Dove movie got to

come along too! He fit right in with the 30 plus dogs there.

Vinnie and Josh doin some leanin on the fence and some
cowboy talkin. That's what you do you know.

Getting my snugglin in. Just incase they did not come

back or something. I look like I just crawled out of bed.

Oh wait I did. Vinnie looks cute in his chaps (spelling?)

There they go. Off to find cattle.

I thought this was a cute picture of some of the

kids. Kamrielle is second from the left. Thanks for

sharing your ranch with us. I think we will try it again

soon! As long as I don't have to cut off any horns and

seer them with hot metel and brand and you know,

Cowboy stuff. I'll just keep helping in the kitchen. Is

that enought to get invited back??

Vinnies Utah Buck

Vinnie had a deer hunt in Utah the end of September and
I was so happy this year that he killed on opening morning!
He was pretty excited about it. It is a pretty nice buck.
I guess this one will get mounted and go upstairs with all
the other animals on the wall. Sometimes he says that's it
but then he gets a bigger deer and so it has to be mounted
too. Then I asked would if you get a bigger one next year
or later. Then they will have to be mounted too! Whatever...

Here he is cutting up the meat. We had to plug in a third
freezer for this one. I guess its good to have it on hand.
Deer is not my favorite but the deer in Utah is way better
than the deer here in Arizona.
I like to make a few things with it.

Kamrielle was daddy's little helper. I think we got a future

hunter on hand. I could not stand the smell so I stayed

away but she was right there watching her dad cut it up

and holding the garbage bag for scraps.

Update coming soon....

Updates are coming soon....when I get some time. I consider this "free time" and I do not have any yet but maybe later. We have been up to alot so stay tuned....

For moms...

I ran across this on someones blog and I really liked it.
Sometimes I just need reminded...like everyday.

If I had my child to raise over again,
I 'd finger paint more and point my finger less.
I'd do less correcting and more connecting.
I'd take my eyes off my watch and watch with my eyes.
I would care to know less and know to care more,
I would take more hikes and fly more kites.
I'd stop playing serious and seriously play,
I'd run through more fields, and gaze at more stars.
I'd do more hugging, and less tugging
I would be firm less often, and affirm much more.
I'd build self-sesteem first, and the house later.
I'd teach less about the love of power,
And more about the power of love.

A big Thanks to Misty and to show her wild hair days

Today my friend Misty who also happens to live
next door found out about my busy day today and
offered (no I take that back) demanded that she
was making the 3 dozen cookies Caden needed for
school today that he told me about before bed last
night. Well I thought that was soooo nice of her she
needed a special "Thank You" right here on this blog!
I stole this picture from her blog because the only
picture I had of her are the two below which is
a whole other story: see story below...
When Misty was pregnant with this cute little girl above
Khloe she was very, very sick. and she decided that
to shower and fix her hair was too much of a chore.
Granted she was living in a 5th wheel while they were
building there house. and so she had these hair extensions
put in and I think it was very helpful to her at the time!
So I just thought is would be fun to take her back down
memory lane and see what her hair used to look like.
I think it is worth showing off. She did get many a looks
though and a certain nationality was like right on sistah!
